Catholic Charismatic Covenant Community
Rochester District
Bukas Loob sa Diyos
(BLD) – Who are we?
BLD stands for the Filipino “Bukas Loob sa Diyos,”
which in English means “Open in Spirit to God”. We are a community of disciples
inspired by the Holy Spirit to be living witnesses for transformation in Christ
who bring about a world of justice, human development and true peace.
OUR VISION
We are a communion of families and a community of persons called together as
one people through a moment of encounter and a process of renewal to a
relationship of faith, hope and love with God.
We are reconciled with the Father by our saving faith in Jesus Christ, by our
renewing trust in the Holy Spirit, and by our uniting compassion with one
another.
We are blessed with personal gifts – spiritual and natural, innate or acquired –
which we yield to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
We give freely and fully of ourselves to love and serve one another as we seek
and proclaim God’s Kingdom. We commit as disciples of Jesus, to speak the
Word of God and do the deeds of Christ among His people.
OUR CHARISM
We are the Lord’s under-shepherds. We are witnesses to the Word of God so that
others may hear and understand. We are counselors with the Holy Spirit so that others
may have healing and wholeness. We are defenders in Christ of those who suffer
injustice and oppression.
OUR MISSION
We are called by the Lord to build communities of disciples of Jesus Christ, whom
empowered by the Holy Spirit, renew and strengthen the Christian faithful through
programs of Christian encounter (e.g. Marriage, Family, Solo Parent, Single, and Youth
Encounters, and Life in the Spirit Seminars), of spiritual growth, pastoral care, and
poverty alleviation.
